List some of the pros and cons, thanks. I would like one with image stableization also. I do not think you will find image stabilization for $170, as this feature seems to add about $100 to any comparable camera.
I think the best deal of the season is the Canon Powershot A530. It has been on sale at numberous big box stores below $130. That's a good price on a good camera. The A530 was selling for $180 not too long ago. I've recommended this camera within my own family, so I'll be living with the results of this recommendation right along with you. You can use the rest of your budget to buy a decent memory card.

Many stores have the A540 for $170, but you will need to spend about $20-40 on a decent memory card, so bear that in mind. That's why I am suggesting the A530 to you. 4 that price You Should get a 6 megapixile 3 or 4 optical Zoom. I Like Cannons. don't get a Kodak the break easily. Cannon Powershot A430 is a good camera. It powers up and is ready to shoot pictures faster than other cameras in this price range. It has x4 optical zoom. It has a big LCD screen at the back. It can shoot movies with sound. And it runs on two AA batteries which you can buy anywhere.
It's only disadvantage is that it has only a 4 megapixel resolution.
But if you want a 5 or 6 megapixel camera, then you'd have to spend more than $170. |
