What brand and what model DIGITAL CAMERA is best??

The Minolta Maxxum (Digital SLR) is abosuletely awesome. I have the 5 Series both for film and digital versions.

The Canon 350D (Digital SLR) camera.

If price is no object, go with Nikon, a camera with good quality, at a reasonable price is Cannon.

Sony are regarded as not quite up to scratch, and you're just paying for the name & can only use SONY's pricey MEMORYSTICK cards in them.

Could you be more specific than "best"? Do you mean easiest to use, most features for the money, best color rendition? What?

for the money a canon 20D is the best... you can interchanges lens and its great for ametuers and pros aswell
