I want to get a digital camera - what is the best one to get for a budget of 拢150?

You can get a cannon powershot A530 for less than 拢150 off Amazon. I've got one and it's really good. It has 5.0 mega pixels and a 4x optical zoom.

Go to Argos and look at Digital camera and printer bundles as i got a Digital camera and printer for 拢150 a few months ago. Its a Kodak Easyshare C533 one i have, i dont know if they still do that one but i would recommend it.

Id have a look at morgancomputer
they seem to have a 7 megapixel camera for 拢140, the cheapest camera they have its around 拢23

i'd consider going half way and consider usign oine of the 4megapixel camers and bank the saving, or get a phot printer (personally Id rather take my photos and get them developed elsehwere at around 1..5p per image

Can't tell you an exact model, as you may score lucky in a sale. But things to look for are optical zoom, and a resolution of not less than 1 Real mega pixel. Argos are chucking these Fujifilm cameras out at 拢112 (they were 拢279 - Bargain!), and they are semi SLR's (Pro's use an SLR) so the images you'll get out of it will wipe the floor with any of the little pocket digital camera's. The 5.1 MegaPixel resolution is more than you'll ever need.
