Where would I find what digital camera is the best for the price? |
Where would I find what digital camera is the best for the price? www.stevesdigicams.com is great for simple reviews on lots of cameras. I would suggest sticking with a good well-known brand, i.e. Canon, Nikon, Sony. Even their lower-priced models are still great quality. You can find cameras for cheaper (Kodak, Fuji, HP) but these won't last you as long, or have the clarity and color of a better camera. The Canon Powershot A520 is around $129. Keep in mind you'll need to purchase a memory card ($30 and up), and rechargeable batteries. You won't need to worry much about megapixels, if you are only going to print small-size photos. (Standard 4x6). A four-megapixel camera will print great quality at up to 8X10, which is more than most people need! Happy shopping! I SAW SOME AT WAL-MART JUST GOT MY PARENTS ONE FROM THERE !!! There is one place to go for this - cnet.com. Seriously, they rate consumer electronics very methodically and break it down by all kinds of categories. Good luck! I have a Fugifilm Finepix 330 And its cool only paid 70 bucks for it.Had to buy a picture card for 35 bucks it hold 150 pics and can be used as a web cam and you can make 2-3 minute videos too.(The pic card that came with only held like 20 pics) There are many magazines out there and many review sites on line. Check them all out as each one is only a personal opinion. Some sources have technical tests that they put the camera and lens through. But, they generally qualify their answer but calling them Best Buy or something like that and then they put them into price categores. So, instead of having on SLR as "Best", they will have Best under $1000, Best between $1000 and $2000, and Best over $2000. Actually, it is better this way because the best cameras are always going to cost more but not everyone can afford the high prices. There is no 'best' camera. It's a highly competitive industry, with a wide range of excellent products. Also- you didn't specify price or style of camera that you're looking for. You can use http://www.pricegrabber.com but I think it is more important for you to know what you are shopping for first. |
