This is somewhat out of date, but check this page for a general idea:
http://tech.yahoo.com/rc/digital-cameras... Most cameras mentioned have been replaced with newer models, which we will hope are as good or better than what they replaced.
Here's another resource for you. Look on down the page if you are interested in point and shoot cameras instead of dSLR's.

Here's another listing in order by ratings.
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/default.... Most of the Janapese made model canon Taking in count the lens sharpness, focal lenght, resolution and price, my vote is for PANASONIC-LUMIX LZ50, with Leica lens and a bright 420mm lens in a small and light weight camera. Bottom line is the one that fits in your hand and is the easiest for you to make images that reflect your point of view.
In the professional arena, Canon and Nikon rule.
Take a look at the link below and check out all the digital cameras that are available today.
It will blow your mind. The best way to start figuring out the huge choices is to look at the cameras whose manufacturers have been making cameras since the late fifty's.
This will eliminate all the companies who made (or make) electronics and have jumped on the digital camera bandwagon. sony cybershot t-10 value for money The "best" for what, and what price range?
There are some that cost $10,000, $23,000 and about $30,000 (digital Hassleblads) which are the Farraris of cameras, while the top pro level Nikons and Canons are the Rolls-Royces and the rest are just volkswagons by camparison.
But, as I alluded to above, it depends on the price range and what you're going to use the camera for (features). For example, Canon has a 6 megal pixel consumer model, S3 iS with a 12x lens that can't be beat for $310-350 price range and features; on the other hand, the Nikon D80 a higher end consumer level camera (most popular amongst the photography enthusiasts), a 10-mega pixel camera near professional level quality in a $1,000 camera, and the Nikon 10.2 mega pixel D200 is one of the best digitals for portraits, weddings, etc., and even sporting events at about $1,450 and there's the Nikon D2X SLR 12.4 Megapixel Digital Camera that goes for about $4,400 used mostly by professional photojournalists and sports photographers, while Canon has the EOS-1Ds Mark II with 16.7 megal pixel (for about $5,000) that is truly a work of art... don't forget the lenses... Nikon has long been recognized for their superior lenses and glass formulas and the compatibility factor (Nikon has NOT changed its lens mount on their camera bodies since 1959!).
Which is the "best" pretty much depends on what you want to use the camera for, and at what price range... you can't fairly compare an $80 point-and-shoot camera with a professional level digital-SLR.
A very good phtographer can take a very good photo with a simple point and shoot camera while the best camera will not help a poor photographer; just as the best hammer in the world will not help someone become a better carpenter. konica minolta All I can tell you is that the Olympus range eats up batteries like there's no tomorrow. They take good pictures but carry a bag ful of batteries with you. There ain't no best! Brands to consider are Sony, Canon, Nikon, and Fugi. Canon has 6 models in the Top 10 digital cameras. Nows thats some statement.
I prefer Panasonic Lumix - 5 mega, 12 optical zoom, 4 digital zoom....loving it. digital camera in sony model no:DSC-H2.this is one of the best digital camera with alots of features |
