you should buy one that is about $325

Try to go for something in between 200-300. mine was pretty good and it was less than 300 but above the 250.

you can find really good deals at wholesale clubs such as sam's and costco. check those places out and then determine what is right for you and how you will be using it. depending on the level of use, you could get a really nice camera for 200.

my fiance just bought me a kodak easyshare digital camera. it is really nice. it records videos, takes awesome pics and even has its own printer dock, for about $200.00.good luck shopping.

Depends on what you want to do with your camera.

If you're a photographer then you'll want lots of manual options that will allow you to really control your photos.

you may want something to point and click and walk around disney land with (and not worry about having a pricey camera or a heavy camera on you all day).

You may want something that you can blow up/develop your pictures for 11x17 or larger often (in which case get lots of megapixels)

You may want the camera to be able to take small movie clips / with audio

do you want waterproof camera?

I know when my camera turns on it makes a noise and if I'm trying to capture a moment with my daughter (where she's not aware of the camera) it's hard with that noise. Once she's sees that camera she's want to smile and stick her finger into the lense.

Decide on the features you want your new camera to do and go from there.


Personally I like the HP camera brand. I've also heard excellent things about the Sony camera brands. Get NOTHING with less then 3.2 MegaPixels as a minimum.

Canon, 5 megapixel, under $300.00!
