What is the best digital camera for an affordable price?

I want one that has great zoom and that takes great pictures even when moving. My mom has one that takes good pics when moving but the zoom is bad. and my sister has one that has awesome zoom but they come out sooo blurry if you move the slightest bit. Is there one that does both? And is affordable?

as you can see from your examples, one positive is compromized by a negative. but if you want both positive, the your credit report might end up negative. well im just exagerating. by zooming the lens, it makes movement such as handshaking and vibrations very visible when taking pictures. having less zoom means that the movements become tolerable and not so blurry. i wanna ask you "what is great zoom for you: 3x? 5x? 12x?" thats something to think about, but make sure they are all optical zoom. digital zoom is just a cheat that cameras do by zooming in the actual picture therefore degrading the quality. how much are you willing to spend? i suggest you go to this site and put the following configurations:

It depends on what you understand by affordable,but when it comes to zoom,you should look for a good optical zoom(as up as it can go based on the price)and the number of pixels also matters a lot(it influences the quality of the picture when zoomed digitally-with a computer program or with the camera-or when printed in a bigger size)As for the quality of the pictures when you move the camera,the only thing you can do is get a camera with an image stabilizer.
The best thing you could do is compare some models that fit your standards and decide which one is the best

affordable ...??...how much means that for you ?
you can have a Canon DSLR Rebel XTi with Canon EF 17-85 mm IS USM kit for $1400 or a Panasonic FZ-30 with $400. Both have image stabilizer system and a good auto-focus that so will reduce the blurry photos.
