What is the best digital camera for around 拢300?

i have had 2 sony cybershots in the last 4 years they are the best, I've compared my photos with a lot of different cameras for example nikon, casio, even canon, but in the end my photos have always been the best,
the features on the cam are really great you get a CD with it which has a lot of excellent programs on for editing and mixing your photos and making VCDs. I've always recommended it to all my friends and family.....I LOVE IT!!

拢300 is a lot to spend on a digital camera these days. The Casio Exlim range are excellent and very compact too. If you want to spend more then the Sony Cybershot range are also well worth a look.

you can get various models with that budget. I'll suggest not to go for very high mega pixel camera but go for bigger zoom. even 5 mega pixel is very good for A4 size paper print. you get camera with 12X zoom now days. I've got sony one. You can check various models on amazon or other similar web site. key thing is .. look for zoom instead of mega pixel

At the end of the day, there is no best camera, it's all down to how good you are at taking photographs.
A good photorapher can take great pictures using a simple camera, whereas, someone not to good can take aweful photos using an expensive camera.
the choice is yours.
go to a competent camera shop and ask advice on what camera would suit you and your budget.

i dont know what that is in US dollars, but mine was about 400 us dollars and i love it. its a Panasonic Lumix, and belive they make a few different Lumix models depending on how many pixels you want and all that.

Best is subjective, depending on what you will use it specifically for. I have a Sony Cybershot, and find it excellent. I showed it to a chap at work, and he went straight out and bought one, and I'm no salesman!

Decide what features you definitely want, as no camera will have everything. Beware of high pixel cameras with little else! I wanted something with about 5m pixels, decent optical zoom (digital zoom leads to poor pics, so don't include it on your list: you want optical zoom), good battery life, and the ability to prefocus, or manually focus. I don't think manual focus is available, actually. Pity.

I have owned a Fuji S7000 for the last 2 years and have taken over 12,000 pictures with it Yes (12 thousand !) with absolutely no problems at all , 12 million pixels :interpolated ,zoom ,video ,auto, manual ...
these are now selling for under 拢200 on Ebay
P.s the higher the pixel rating the more definition in printing ,but this is adjustable to suit the type of picture you taking .
