Which is the best digital camera to take moving objects and night shots?Hi,
Since you're asking for the best I'll answer what the best is, then I'll suggest something more down to earth.
The best camera for moving targets is Canon's 1D Mk III, it shoots 10 megapixel images at a rate of 10 per second with an autofocus capable of following that rate. There's a reason why the sidelines of all NFL games are full of them.
It's a mere $4,000 dollars and there's a waiting list if you want to get your hands on one.
The best camera for night shots is Canon's 5D, it's price is a lot more down to earth, it's just $2,750 and it produces the cleanest high ISO images of any camera.
Other than those, I would probably go with a compact that has a large sensor and large aperture lens. My money would probably go towards the new Canon G7. This camera also let's you use external flash and can even be used with professional studio lights. I'm getting one for the times when my SLR's too bulky.
Hope this helps!
Ignacio Go with a digital SLR - the flash recovery time is awesome, and you can do amazing things with the settings. I have the Nikon D70 and love it - I've been very pleased with the response and the quality of the images, even when I use an auto setting. |
