Well, this really depends on how much money you are looking to spend. If you looking for a great point and shoot camera around $200, then a A540 would be perfect. I have done much research on this camera and it has great reviews. Canon p&s are rated number one in consumer reports. Whatever you do, don't buy a Kodak of a Fuji camera. By boyfreind works for Kadak's digital camera tech support and tells me all the problems with their cameras. We both bought Kodak C series cameras before he started working for Kodak and both of ours broke within months. And they were different problems too.

Another good brand is Olympus. I am going to buy the Canon A540 today from Circuit City. If there is not a Circuit City by you, you can buy it from their website ar www.circuitcity.com. This week the camera is on sale for 199.99 and comes with a free 1GB memory card.

there all good its the bells and whisles that makes the difference first u have to ask yourself what do u want it to do. then using that as a guide line u will beable to pick the right camera for yourself. as far as makes and models go check consummereports for the most up to date info. Good Luck
