If I get a digital camera,what kind is the best one to get,is it hard to use with a computer?Any suggestions?

I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras and learn as much as they can from the internet.
Go to the store and hold them and try them to see what they feel like and how they take pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.

I suggest the Kodak easyshare. It takes marvelous pictures and is very easy to use and learn with. No, it isn't hard to plug a wire into your computer port and the other end of that wire into the camera. Very easy.

I like Canons. and it is really pretty simple to use with a computer.

Get a Kodak easy share digital camera as the are easy to
use on the computer,mine is a Z730 zoom digital and it
came wth the easyshare Cd-rom and a hand book even i knew how to use.
I use it in conjunction with my Canon Pixma MP160 scanner
and the pictures are worth every cent i get for them,i am not
an expert on anything,and the instructions in the hand book are easy to follow,but you make up your own mind on what one to get.

Most compact, 鈥減oint & shoot鈥?cameras are exactly that... you just point, then shoot; it doesn't get any easier than that. As for using them with a computer, it's as easy as installing the provided software, connecting the camera to the computer following the software or user manual instructions, and start downloading pictures; a better alternative for many people is to buy a card reader and use it to download pictures from the card to the computer, just as easy as you would if the pictures were in any other removable storage device, but it usually has the advantages of the card reader being more easily recognized, not needing to use the camera itself as a transferring device (thus further draining its battery), usually having faster transfer rates, and knowing exactly what you're doing (some transferring software packages tend to create copies of the photos you download without asking, some may NOT create copies even if you wanted them to, some rename the copies as they see fit... with a card reader, you manage the photos exactly as you would manage any other computer file).

In any case, and while Kodak cameras are OK, they're definitely not the only ones to be that easy to use. Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus, Pentax... most of them can be used just as easily, because all of them have completely automatic shooting modes, and software easy enough to use.

As for which camera to get... well, the one whose features suit you the most. There are larger ones, smaller ones, some with more optical zoom, some with better image quality in low-light situations, some cheaper... without knowing at all your needs and preferences, it doesn't really make that much sense to recommend any particular model (or even brand) at all. I suggest that you either read a bit in photography forums like the one in DCResource.com, or else specify to us what kind of camera did you want... or at least what are you mainly going to use it for, so that we can guess which kind (and model/brand) would suit you best.

I got the canon SD 750 about a week ago, and I love it compared to the previous cameras that I have owned. I bought it because of the high rate for the price of $299. One of the many great features is it take 1 second to turn on, and your ready to take a picture, so you can almost instintly take a picture, once you know your subject. It also has great features like color accent mode or color switch mode. You can also use a sd card and it can hold well over 1,000 pics with a 2 gig SD card. The camera itself is really small and thin, for all the features it has. You can download pics to your computer by using mini usb cable included with the camera. Overall I think this camera would be perfect for tourism, sport events, events, and protraits. It is quite easy to use with a computer, I defenitely wouldn't say it is challenging.

I have had phenomenal luck with my Nikon Cool Pix P2. It interfaces perfectly with my computers and is very easy to use. I got the best deal from NewEgg.com.

First, decide what your involvement with photography is going to be. How will you use the camera?

If all you want to do is take photos of family and friends a good digicam may be all you need. If you want to take more advanced photos - such as macro or low-light or sports - you may want to go with a DSLR. Its easy to over-buy or under-buy.

Go to steves-digicams.com and read his reviews. Look for a Buyer's Guide published by one of the photography magazines. Most of them have websites so you can access it there. Educate yourself by reading.

If you are a first time buyer I strongly urge you to go to a real camera store - not a store that sells cameras and all other things. The salespeople at a camera store are trained to know the features and benefits of every camera they sell. Once you've made your choice, BUY it from that camera store. Please do not take up their time - they may be on commission - and then buy elsewhere. Buy it from them and you'll have ready access to someone who can answer your questions, help solve problems, and offer intelligent advice. Its much easier to explain a problem face to face than on the phone with a CSR in China or India or Taiwan. Ask a clerk at Wal-Mart or some other discount store a camera question and you'll likely get a blank stare.

Nikon CoolPix Is the best. I have Nikon CoolPix S5 with a 2GB memory card and Pictmotion. The memory card and Pictmotion came free with the camera!
