What's the best digital camera under $100 for non-technical person? I have a kodak c330, i got it for 99 and it works great!! its got 4x optical, 3x digital zoom on it i love it and my sister who spent 300 on her camera has even said she prefers mine over hers. good luck finding a camera!!!! $100 is kinda cheap for a good Digital Camera, but if you are looking around, look for the highest Megapixels you can get for the price. Kodak has some 4 megapixel cameras at BestBuy for about $150, and they are Easyshare and come with the software. Be prepared to buy a memory card/stick when you buy the camera and don't go small, 256 or 512 Mb stick to start with. Internal memory will only hold about 8-10 pictures at best quality. On a 256 Mb card you will probably hold about 200+ pictures at your highest quality. Don't sacrifice quality for memory space. Samsung DigimaxA402. any brands of 2-3megapixel cameras might be found within $100 they do good job for 4x6 pictures! This is a little repetative, but here goes...EASYSHARE! I have the Kodak Easyshare C300 (now selling for $90). It is 3.2 MP which will do fine for 4x6, but also met my needs for up to around 5x7. My sister just got the Kodak EasyShare C310 (now selling for $100). The main difference is newer software the camera itself uses (improved, sleeker, a bit different in looks on-camera) and also it is 4 MP instead of 3.2. We are both really happy. They're great for everyday use ANYWHERE, and couldn't be easier to use. Good luck & happy hunting! :) I have no personal experience with the easy share, but many review sites say the image quality is poor in comparison to better cameras. Shutter lag (the pause between when you press the shutter and when the photo is actually taken) is still a major issue with lower end cameras. I think if you will plan on around $200 you will find it money well spent. You can get a entry level canon (I have heard the sony cybershots are good too) and a decent flash card for that price. I got my daughter an A510 and a 256k SD card for about $200 and the camera takes nice pics, allows you to make manual settings (as you learn more) and even shoots low res video. |
