i dont know what price range you're looking for but i have a canon eos 30 d and it takes great pictures!

i have the Olympus FE-190 with 6.0 megapixels. it takes great pics,, but i dont know how much it costs...my mommy bought it for mee =]

my sis has a casio and it works good but its just a simple digital camera in my opinion

Ive tried them all!! I suggest a 7.2 megapixel sony cybershot; its black and it takes really clear pictures instantly so you dont have to wait for hours just to take a picture!

canon is by far the best in the business

You will be spending in the vicinity of a thousand
bucks for a decent one.

You need to remember that the photographer is more

Canon PowerShot SD800 IS ..the girl was glowing at Best Buy when she was showing me cameras. She told me this was the camera everyone in the store wanted. She was right. The camera takes the best pictures $325 can buy. The features are very user friendly and you need little instruction. Go to the Canon website and take a look.

Anything by canon- the powershots are excellent! They're usually around $200 and they have amazing quality.

maybe you can get Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi digital camera with 18-55 mm lens.If it's epensive, u can buy
panasonic lumix DMC-TZ3.

Oh, you're going to hear many thoughts about this great question. My best answer to you is that, for the most part, you do get what you pay for. You can spend more than a thousand for a digital camera. But if you want a great camera for a nice price, check out the Canons. I love 'em and have never had any problems. Have always thought the pics were superior and better than many other's I've seen. If you want to see what others say, check out pcworld.com, cnet.com, or epinions.com. I always check these and get other's thoughts and it's never failed me.

The BEST digital camera? Depends upon who it's for and what kind of pictures they want to take. Give us some guidance here.

It's like asking what's the best vehicle? Not too many Boxters towing ski-boats. Few Prius's going off-road. Haven't seen too many Hummers used for long distance commutes. Few Z-350s hauling around the soccer team. Not many convertibles hauling lumber.

If you want a pocketable camera, look at a small Casio EX-V7 or Canon SD800 with Image Stabilization.

Notice I didn't start off by choosing the most expensive. You're looking for results, right? If you get a more expensive camera, then you can't get the lenses that make a system work.

And remember - it's the photographer that really takes the great pictures. We honor Michaelangelo the artist, but not his brushes.

The best digital camera that I know of is the Hasselblad H3D-39. It is a 39 megapixel, single shot camera (you take one photo and then download it and take another one.
