digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions You said professional and then reversed on yourself with a list.
The cheapest pro camera is probably the Nikon D-40 at $600.
Everything else is a mom and pop point and shoot camera.
Below that the Sony HC2 or HC7 is on the top end at $400-$450
As is the Canon S-3 I'd steer you towards the Nikon D50.
You may have to track down a used one, but, unlike its replacements the D40 and D40X, you can use virtually any Nikkor AF lens on it. This gives you access to an amazing amount of glass, much of it bargain-priced. Second choice would be D80.
Lenses? Nikkor 70-300, 70-210, and so on...with D50/D80 you can get lens gems at discount prices by shopping wisely.
Hope this helps. |
