*(Sony cyber-shot DSC-W80, 7.1 M Pixel,3x optical zoom)//or
*(Sony cyber-shot DSC-W55, 7.1 M Pixel,3x optical zoom).
and please clarify what is the best 1x extra optical zoom better or 1.1 extra M Pixel is better? Go for the Canon, they all have the same features as this one:
The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550
* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life Of this group, I would choose the IXUS 800 IS. I would have bought this camera for myself if one had been available back around Christmas time. I did buy one for my daughter last month.
Or... Look at the new replacement for the IXUS 800 IS, the IXUS 950 IS. It looks awesome.
There is not a whole lot of difference between 6 or 7 MP. The "X" power is not so important as the actual focal length of the lens. The IXUS 800 IS zooms to an equivalent of 140 mm and the others are substantially shorter than this. It also has image stabilization, as does the W80, but the W80 only zooms to 105 mm. |
