Need digital camera for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. What is the best/cheapest camera I can find? |
I'm having a hard time chosing an inexpensive camera but that can give me a good resolution. Can anyone give me some details on a camera for my daughter for Christmas? Walmart has some good Digicams by Vivitar in the $20 bracket. I used several different models from them, and has good success. Easy to use, some has flash. The batteries will hold power for about a day if storing pics before uploading. The camera I found to be the best is the Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera for Girls. The price is around $150.00, but its great for young kids. Here are some specs about it. Hope this helps. Go to Wal-Mart. They have a number of cheap digital cameras on the end racks. They have some that are designed for kids, so they don't have really high resolution, but are decent. They also lack the LCD preview screen. The Fisher-price "kid tuff" 640x480 res digital camera. The res is about the same as the smallest file from my canon sd600, which I have been able to print perfectly fine 5x7 from. I am a professional photographer and one of my clients just got one of these for his 5 year old and says "it's awesome" "he can throw it and it still works" Try it it's only about $70 from fisher price. It also take one of today's standard memory cards called SD card. These cards are available in 512mb 1gb and 2gb formats. A 1gb is available at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controll... for $19.95(VERY GOOD) The added benafit to this is the card can most likely be used in a future upgrade once this camera is outgrown. |
