What is the world best digital camera?

i am a graphic designer. I want to buy a digital camera

The best digital camera is the one that works best for you. Just because you buy the most expensive, top of the line camera doesn't mean that you're going to get good pictures or that you'll be happy with it. It really depends upon what you're looking for and what you're wanting to photograph.

In general, Canon and Nikon are the two heavyweights--start by exploring their product lines and learning about what the various cameras do.

I'm not sure. I have been doing a lot of research on this myself...trying to decide what kind to get. From the reviews I have read, the canons seem like they get good feedback. Kodaks are suppose to be easier to use. I will definitely be watching your post to see what other people think. Good luck!
P.S. By the way circuit city.com has many different kinds of digital cameras and also have a review section where people can write their opinions of how good they work.

Canons are most definetly the way to go. So is nikon, but i've had a few (fixable) problems with mine...so i'm not too sure on that one. Also, the girl up there said that kodaks are easy...do not get a kodak if you are wanting to take GOOD pictures. they are terrible with quality. stay away from the kodaks.

it really depends on what kind of user you are.
consumer, prosumer or Amateur.

there's nothing as the BEST in the world. try pin point down criteria to search for a digital camera tht suits you. let's say you are looking for a Digital SLR and you previously own a Canon SLR and you have plenty of the accesories, getting yourself a Canon Digital SLR will save you alot of money since the old EF lense are compatible with the new camera.

if it's for your personal use ,a tiny consumer range camera with antishake, waterproof will come in very handy.

Well, there is always the $32,000 Hasselblad 39 megapixel camera, but for the more down-to-earth photographer, the Nikon and Canon DSLR's are great.

You really have to decide what you want to do woth it and go from there. The Japanese cameras are good but so are the KODAKS. And Kodak has some new models which are outstanding at a reasonable price. One thing to consider is camera ease of use. Also how useful the software is for editing and adding special effects. Just as with computers, cell phones and other electronic devices, some are user friendly and some are not. Software can also be either user friendly or not. I would suggest you buy some photo mags which test and rate the digitals and read up on the features and limitations of the various cameras. There is nothing worse than buying an item, then finding that it really does not meet your needs. There really is no ONE best only the best one for your purposes and abilities. Good luck.

I would stick with Canon's. Their lenses are the best and they have a great selection whether you are amatuer or professional. If you are looking for a good site to compare cameras, check out dpreview.com. They have side-by-side comparisons with similar cameras so you get a good idea of not only the camera body, but the output that each camera and/or lens has. I personally own a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a 28-135IS lens, and get great results. But I researched for over 6 months before purchasing anything, because even if you narrow down to a brand, there are still lots of choices, and there are still some junk lenses from every brand!

Well I woud say this camera rates up there pretty high.

For the more practical uses I would reccomend a Sony or a Kodak they are easy to use and put out good pictures.

There's always the European who has invented such "world best" product.......one of its is HASSELBLAD H3D.....others such as leica, minox, contax.

Best budget camera, 5 megapixels.
If you just want a good basic camera, reviews say it's hard to beat the 5-megapixel, 4X-zoom Canon PowerShot A530. Images are good overall and have plenty of resolution to make great 5 X 7 and even nice 8 X 10 prints. At 1.8 inches, the LCD is on the small side, but it鈥檚 still very usable. The camera can record QVGA movies with sound at 20 fps, or VGA movies at 10 fps, although the latter are choppy. The camera is relatively fast. While easy to use for beginners, it also has a nice complement of manual controls for those who want to venture beyond autofocu
