My camera got wet and won't turn on...what do I do?

I was out with my camera at a fair and when I went on a ride, my water bottle opened and my camera got soaked! I quickly tried to dry it as much as possible, but nothing was working. I tried turning on my camera but then the screen was messed up and it had weird noises coming from it. It had the words "ERROR: Lax 45t5543" or something like that. Then it just powered down and everytime I try to get it to turn on it does nothing!

WHAT DO I DO??? I am so worried and I don't know who to turn to to fix my camera! Or...if ANY of you happen to know how I can fix my camera at home...please, do share!

Thank you everyone who is trying to help!

Cameras are like dogs :)) if u forget them outside during rainfall will eventually get ill and die....that's what happend with yours, cheer up and buy a new one...don't even try to fix it because it will cost more than buying a new one!

IM MR. ralph D. If you know the camera is very active of water because of very sensitive electronics parts inside especially digital camera having LCD. My advice is you need technician because we have no other sollution.okey

Put it in a plastic bag, filled with dry rice for about 12-24 hours, to see if this absorbs the moisture. If your camera still does not work, take it to a camera store (like ritz or another camera seller) to see if they can send it in for repair.

Take the batteries out and leave the battery compartment door open. Open as many other covers and doors that you can and let it dry out for several days to a week. Do not try to dry it out using a heat source, such as a hair dryer, which could do some real damage.

Sorry to say you need a new camera!!
