Which camera do you prefer out of these 2 choices?

I'm getting a new camera for my 15th bday and i am either deciding between the Canon PowerShot SD 750... or the Olympus Stylus sw 850

I hear the Canon camera has cool effects and takes higher quality pictures than the Olympus camera, but the Olympus camera is waterproof, durable, and comes in different colors.

The common price for the Canon camera is $199.00
and the common price for the Olympus camera is $299.00

I'd go with the Canon. They are sturdy & take great quality pictures. I've dropped mine several times thinking, "well it's broke now"...and it still keeps working.

If you're planning on getting the camera wet, then go with the olympus, otherwise go Canon.

I have owned every single camera you can imagine. I only have good luck with Canons, they are good both in low lights and outdoors. I would go with the SD750 or the new SD790 which replaced the SD750 and 10 megapixels and Optical Image Stabilization which reduces blurs when taking pictures.

I always buy Canon... they hold up forever and take great pictures. I had a 3 megapixel canon (and i still have it)... it's kinda big and clunky but it takes great pictures. I used to have a professional photographer develop my pictures for me and he was shocked it was only a 3mp camera from the photos I was getting.

Sony cybershot trust me it's worth it.
It comes with a dock and lot's of cool stuff, and it also takes videos and connects to your tv. The original price is 280, but Circuit city has it on sale for 200
Sony DSCW80
I had the other cameras but they were not worth it the screens kept cracking.

I always go with Canons. I've tried others, including Olympus and Sony and always go back to the Elph line. The pictures are just sharper and the size is very convenient. I have an SD630 right now and will upgrade soon to an IS model.
