I'm looking to move up to a Nikon D 80 from a P&S camera. What would be two best lenses to start off with? |
I wish to purchase Nikon lenses. That really depends on what you like to shoot... for close ups get a macro lens, for sports and nature get a zooms lens, etc. etc. etc. You will find that the range you are already shooting is pretty well covered by two excellent yet inexpensive lenses - the new new 18-55 VR and the 55-200 VR. The "VR" is IMPORTANT as you search for these lenses. Congrats on a great move....the D80 is awesome !! For info on what you want to know visit this site. Depends what you are shooting. The 18-70 kit lens is great but if you want to upgrade from that have a look at the 16-85VR. If you want a little bit more reach have a look at the 55-200VR. Hope that helps. . |
