First time digital camera buyer! 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER!? |
I want a thin camera. I can spend up to $250. I was look at the Nikon Coolpix S550 (10 megapixels) or Sony Cyber shot DSC-W170 (10.1 Megapixel)..what do you guys think of these? Any other ideas? THANKS! Sony Either of the cameras should give you good service. The market is practically brimming with modelsthat it's actually difficult to identify an 'ideal' model. Ultimately, it's all down to what you feel happy with in terms of ease of user-friendliness. You have to ask yourself: are the buttons and menus easy to navigate. My Nikon gives me headaches with it's plethora of menus and choices, so I often wonder whether I made a wise purchase (at 拢500 2nd hand, It looked like a bargain). You might also have a look at some of the Canon, Samsung, Fuji and Pentax models. Sony took over production of what was Minolta cameras. Minolta just concentrated on their business machines interests in partnership with Konica. This one is a better camera. Try to avoid "the more megapixels the better" frame of thinking. It's not true! |

i think a disposable camera is a waste of money. i'd see if you can get it earlier. most disposable cameras, if its digital, only take about 10 pictures and most are not reusable. its more eco... I always had that same problem because whenever i go to see Keith Urban in concert my pictures would come out all blurry either because i was too far away from the stage and so i would zoom in so m... What is your budget? How far away does the camera need to be? Manual zoom - Pan/tilt/zoom for that matter - on security cams is expensive... What will record the video (a computer or DVR)? ... i work for t-mobile in london and the lg viewty has 5 megapixels and the picture quality is excellent. ...i have the sony t-200, it's awesome, touchscreen, sleek and sexy, great pictures... but if you got the butterfingers... try the casio exilims, those are great digital cameras, well i liked em<... Canon S5 IS. You can zoom while filming and it has a separate button for video. ...What about a Canon Powershot A460? I have a Canon Powershot A570 and absolutely love it (which is also in your price range) - check it out :) ... Since we're talking personal grade, go with a brand and stick with it. He may have a Panasonic or RCA Widescreen "HiDef" Hard Drive camcorder as well, though these aren't neces... |
