In your opinion best digital camera on the market under 拢200?

Looking to purchase a digital camera for my son, need advice on which is the best.

Best digital camera on the market under that price is prob the w55 from sony.the thing is you also have to include the price of a memory card and probably a case too so if your looking for a digital camera thats fairly decent make sure you get one with a recharageable battery and not aa as it will ad to the price in the long run.canon have a new ixus out too but either the 75 or 80 ixuu are incredible.a bit more expensive but would def recommend the sony t70.i have it myself and it is amazing.

CASIO EXILIM Card EX-S880 Red is the one I鈥檓 using, love Casio exilim series, because they are slim and pretty, and it only cost me 126 pounds. The quality is very good too :)

We have just purchased one for my son The Pentax Optia E35 it is excellent. The quality of the pictures are superb. 7.1 Mega Pixels has zoom settings including macro. It was an offer that Currys had, I don't know if the offer is still on, but it was only 50.00

Hi, well, up until recently i had always stuck with a film format 35mm SLR (single lense reflex) camera and dedicated flash gun. THEN, having resisted the urge to go digital i WON a kodak digital camera! it's superb! You can also purchase a 'docking' system to go with it so that he may develop his own prints off the camera in a few seconds which i've found invaluable. It's a neat little camera, compact with LOADS of different functions on it, including low light photography, candle light, and a setting that reduces the risk of camera shake or subject movement, Plus a memory area he can 'store' his "favourites". It's aroud the 拢100 mark and i can honestly say it's a superb little number that offers much in the world of photography. You will need to buy him a 'memory card' also which allows more photographs to be held by the camera. It even has a video and sound setting for him to video something too and comes complete with it's own charger, cd rom and docking plate ready for if and when you purchase the docking bay. It's worth 拢100 of anyones money. Have a look and see you'll be very surprised. I researched this once with no correct answer found. Most cameras are pretty comparable nowadays. I ended up buying a Kodak that takes great pictures. I just bought another Kodak for my parents and it also takes great pictures.
