What are the chances of getting spotted on MySpace for a fashion modelling career? |
I was approached on MySpace by a free lance photographer; said I am the most suitable for their talent requirement. said she's, "...one of the lead photographer heading entire fashion event in Aust. This is the Fashion event based in Perth - Australia. Asian Models requires for Fashion, glamour, swim, gown, bridal types of modeling. Since its fashion and print event height is not the requirement so long as talent is more than 5'.0''. Kindly email me your pictures/basic portfolio that will help me to arrange your formal audition. We can talk over YM if you use it or just email portfolio." This sounds too good to be true. Can I have some opinions? Thank you in advance. Did not read the details (no need to). My answer: 0.00% Hmm, well yea it sounds tooo good to be true, but if it is then all i can say is 'good luck!" If it sounds too good be to true, it probably is. If you want to be a model, find an actual talent agency. Don't wait for them to find you or you could be scammed. And if anyone asks you for money first, it's probably a scam. Read the details and it's a scam. Upon your first chat I guarantee they will ask for a deposit on some classes or to have your professional portfolio taken. don't.... it's prolly jus a creepy old guy none..too many spammers you need to check to see if she's legit. You don't know whether or not the woman is who she says she is. Just because she says shes a freelance photog don't mean she's really a photographer. for all you know the woman could turn out to be a guy and a perv and the chances of being spotted for a modeling career that is actually legit on myspace are probably slim to none |
