Whats a good Polaroid camera?

I'm looking to buy a Polaroid camera, and would like to know whats the best one? Please don't tell me not to get one, I have a digital camera, and I want a Polaroid camera because I love the look of the pictures. The best Polaroid camera to me would have a slight yellow tint to the picture.
Thanks!

If you have a digital camera, it's easy enough to shift the color spectrum of your downloaded images in your computer. You can shift the colors or even go fully sepia, if that's the effect you're looking for.

Polaroid cameras used to come in a wider range of models, but currently only are available (Target, Walgreens, and Wallymart) in the basic consumer 600 series. Look at the Polaroid One Step 600 Classic for one.

For a true 'yellow tint', you might try taping yellow cellophane (from craft stores) over the Polaroid lens. It would act as a cheap filter, changing the color of the instant print.

You could also check the menu of your digital camera to see if you can turn off the auto-white balance. If so, then any picture taken indoors under regular tungsten lightbulbs will come out yellowish.

Have fun!

There's two main Polaroid cameras which you can get. One is to get the Polaroid 600 series of cameras, which you can pick up for about $30 at Walmart. Type 600 film is readily available and can be found at department and drug stores.

If you're really into Polaroid instant cameras, look on eBay or Craigslist for the older Polaroid "pack film" cameras, which don't have a motor to spit out the film. Instead, after you take the photo, you have to pull the film out manually, wait about a minute, then peel the paper off to get to the photo. Really cool. What's even weirder is that you can get Fujifilm instant film for the Polaroid packfilm cameras and it works really well. Also, you can get black and white instant film too for these kinds of cameras.

This is the best website I've found for a history of Polaroid cameras, so you can see what's been out there and make your pick from historic, used cameras as well as seeing what's newer:

Polaroid is an interesting camera to choose... mainly because not many people are interested in them. Your demand for yellow pictures presents a problem... Having one, I don't know of any setting that can manipulate the picture to have a yellow tint. Software can take care of that issue on your PC when you download them however. That being said... the 700 series are all the best of the polaroid set. they are quite capable of taking a great shot. For whatever reason you like yellow, NONE of them can provide that feature without a pc or having a printer cartridge low on ink or printing incorrectly. Good luck!~ Chris
