I want to buy a digital photo printer for my digital camera, Are all these printers compatible with any camera, Or is there something i need to look out for?????? Looking to get one that does not need to be connected to a PC If your camera is "Pict-Bridge" compatible, get a printer that is also "Pict-Bridge" compatible. There are several. Or, get a printer with a card reader built in. My Epson Stylus Photo RX620 has 3 different slots that (I think) will read 7 different kinds of cards, including CF and SD, no matter what kind of camera you have. Go to http://www.epson.com where you will find this EXCELLENT printer/scanner available for $129 after rebate with free shipping. Or, shop around the site and see if you want to buy one of their newer printers, but make sure it has a card reader built in. I do not know if these printers can read pictures from the camera memory, because I never wanted to do that. Well, you can go for the Canon series of dedicated photo printers. Its portable and dedicated. May not be cheaper than the photo kiosk, its handy and you can print anywhere, anytime, especially after a birthday party or something. But if that is not a priority any higher model, those that come with fax and photocopy can print photos as well. Canon and HP are the 2 brands to go for. Well, Epson too. To keep and organize and do simple photo editing download the free Picasa Photo software. It will make digital photo housekeeping that much easier.
