Is filemate SD a good memory card for a Kodak Z710 digital camera?

I got a 2GB Filemate SD card with my camera.. But I have never heard of this brand. Should I return it (as it's not opened yet) and buy a name brand one?? or is this a good one, and I just don't know it??

It will probably work just fine.
It may not be as fast as one of the high speed Sandisk's or Lexars. some cameras take advantage of the extra card speed, others don't- so you may or may not be able to tell the difference. Off brands are sometimes a bit less compatible with some card readers and such. Generally they work fine.

Since the cost of SD cards are so fiercely competitive, I usually recommend spending the extra $10 so that you don't have problems in the future- but plenty of people use off-brand cards without issue.

I've never had a problem with any of my generic cards. I'd change it if it doesn't work at all, but keep it otherwise.
