I have a Cyber-shot DSC-T5, which i bought a few years ago, takes great pictures but after a while for some reason it would not transfer any pictures to my laptop. The USB cord when I connect to a TV works and it shows the pictures and the videos, but as soon as I connect it to a laptop it doesnt even register that there is something connected to it. I tried it on a few laptops, same thing, I just recently bought a MAC mini notebook and still my camera is not detected. Please help, what do you think the problem is? Thank you!!! :) the camera usb cord is bad
ebay might have one It could be a bad cord, bad connection, or something wrong with the USB driver in your camera.
Things you could try:
1. get a new USB cable
2. get a card reader and just don't use the cable any more. remove the card from the camera, place into card reader, and download photos that way.
3. send the camera and cable in for repair.
of these. I'd suggest option 2. Just get a good card reader, like the Sandisk 12-1 for about $30 and it will handle all of your future downloading needs from your current and future cameras, as well as your friends' cameras. |
