Digital camera memory?

I have a Fujifilm Finepix A210. I delete the pics from the camera everytime I download to pc. Now however after I take about 5 pics it says "card full". I download to pc-delete from camera and then can take 5 or so more pics. I thought by deleting from camera it also deleted from memory card. I have lost my guide that came with the camera, am I doing something wrong or am I disillusioned and need to buy a new memory card ?

You have set your picture taken in the highest resolutions mode. That's why you only can have 5 pics with your 16MB picture card. Your want to have more pics ...set it to lower resolutions .Let say 800x600 off cause! Quality compromised. You should get a higher capacity memory card like 2MB or at less 1MB.

Umm are you using the 16MB card that came with the camera? Your only going to get 3-5 shoots on that card. I would buy a 1GB SD card.

If it isnt the 16MB card, then maybe you accidetally saved something on the card like a word document or something.

After you have downloaded your photos to the PC, you should then format the memory card in the camera (via the MENU).
Also, you might just need a much larger memory card. 1GB is a good absolute minimum these days.

After you load the pics to your pc unplug the camera from the pc. On the camera:
1. Turn the Mode switch to 鈥減lay鈥?
2. Press the 鈥淢ENU/OK鈥?button to display the
menu screen.
3. Press the zoom in or zoom out buttons to select the little rubbish bin.
4. use that button thing in the middle of the zoom in/out buttons to select 'all frames' and press "menu/ok". It will start deleting every pic from the card.

This camera has no internal memory so once you follow this proceedure then its deleted from the camera for good.

A 16meg card is TINY. I think its included with the camera just so you can play with it on the way home. For an old 3.2mp camera a 512 meg card should be plenty and store about 250 pics in high quality mode.

Are you using the Stock Memory Card it came with?
If so of course it's going to go full at around 5 shots!

I recommend buying a 1GB xD card!

There pretty cheap( $24 ).

And if it isn't the stock card, You maybe transfered a file that's not readable on a camera and thats big, Or if the card is coruppted( It has happend to me before, So it took a couple photos and that was it ).
