What is the easiest way to learn about cam corders and digital cameras?

my wife and I just got this new dell and we also bought a digital camera and cam corder but find it hard to learn how to operate them..what is the easiest tutorial to learn these complicated devices..thank you...

Here's the right answer: Get a cheap digital camera. Go to a place with low light, like inside a room with only one light on. Take a picture of something moving. Change a setting on your camera and take a picture of it again. Keep taking pictures the same way at different settings to see how the settings make a difference. Play with the buttons and have fun!

reading the manual and wikipedia. its not that hard, people!

Use them. Open the manual and try the full auto modes first.

Use them and learn from your good shots and from your mistakes. Find out why some shots were so satisfying and why some fell short.

Find reasons to use the cameras. Take more pictures and video than you think you want to. (You can always erase later)

I have taken a few short photo & video classes, but most of what I learned came from personal experience and not being afraid to try.
