1st never go with a digital camera, they are a way for people to waste their good hard earned money. Go buy a camcorder, they say the more you spend the better, but that isnt always true, get one with a great pixel rating, then buy something like a dazzle that allows you to hook it up to your computer, they come with editing software. the reason behind all this is because vs, you getting limited time and exposure you can have unlimited frames to pick the perfect captures from. And way more then a minute of capture time. I have a Sony digital camcorder and it is awesome!

The duration that you can record using a digicam depends on the battery life and the size of the memory card. If you use a 1 GB memory card, I am sure that you can record atleast 30 minutes using your digital camera. Buying a video camera would be better though. A digicam is primarily developed to take still pictures. A handycam would be for taking videos. The quality would also be better along with better battery life and storage capacity.

i,m sorry to have to tell you the truth, but there are many , many cameras out there that say they will , ( as my own says ) record up to 4 hours....and i am quite sure this would be possible with one or two options not offered by the manufacturer, the first being an outside power source, ac/dc what ever plug .. or perhaps they could speak with the battery industry for the second option not offered to date, which would be a battery , battery pack, whatever that would allow these devies to record for more than 1 or 2 minutes , before your battery, and filming is no more...
