bought a new camera (olympia) this week. went to NY and took a bunch of pics. at time was able to view pics. now am getting message to format. only options are format and power off. if format will definitely lose all pics. also will not transfer to computer (device not ready message). any suggestions on how to get my pics? Use a card reader and copy all your images over to your computer. Then format your card.
If you have been deleting images while shooting, this may be the problem. This practice can cause corruption of the cards image index file. In the future, do not delete images ... if you run out of space, use a new card. (2GB under $30 on sale). Do all your deleting once the images are on your computer.
Formatting your card after each use will ensure your card will perform perfectly every time. |
