Digital camera memory cards!?

im buying an SD memory card for my digital camera but im not sure what what size to get. im currently looking at a 512MB memory card & i just want to know how many pictures that will hold. does anyone know?

thanks =]

With 2GB SD cards costing under $20, it really makes sense to buy a couple. ... IF your camera will support them.

Your camera should show you how many images are left on the card somewhere on the LCD screen. Just multiply that by eight to get what a 2GB card will hold on your camera at your settings.

It depends on the resolution of your camera; the more memory each picture uses, the fewer pictures the card will hold. Either way, get the biggest card you can afford, certainly.

512 wont hold that many pictures. but it depends on how big they are formatted to which is a setting you can usually change in your camera.

It really depends on what megapixel your camera is and what quality you set it on. see this chart to determine how many pictures 512 MB card can hold.

Memory cards are really cheap these days. I suggest you should get at least a 1 GB ($13) or 2 GB ($20) in case you want to record a couple of video clips with your digital camera.
