Can anybody tell me where i can buy a pair of binoculars which incorporate a digital camera.
Do these things even exist?
By the way I'm in the UK but if they do exist and if they're in the US, i could possibly get them shipped over.
Thanks. I see some really cheap digital binocular/cameras with 0.3 MP cameras. I see some that cost 3 times as much, but at least the cameras stand a CHANCE at being decent with 3.0-3.2 MP. I see Bushnell makes one with a 5.0 MP camera. This might be a good place to start.
It looks like you won't get higher than 8X, but that's probably okay, since it's hard to hold anything any stronger steady without a tripod. At least it's hard to hold them steady enough for photography.
The lens diameters seem to hover around 30 mm, so I'd go for an 8X30 or 8X32 pair with at least 3.0 MP. These range from $170 to $200 in price. Since there is not much difference between $170 and $200, I see no reason not to go for the Bushnell 8x30 Image Replay Roof Prism Binocular with Built-in 5.0 Megapixel Digital Camera for $199.95 at B&H Photo.
Meade and Simmons are showing 3.0 MP cam-binocs that are also waterproof and that might be a good feature. The prices are in the same region.
Many of us trust and recommend B&H Photo. I have been using them for many years without a single problem. B&H Photo is available through a link at Yahoo! Shopping, www.bhphoto.com or at 1-800-622-4987. See also http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H...
Beach Camera is another excellent company.

Hello, here are a few links to uk sites which have Digital camera/binoculars. Happy snapping i have a pair and i am in the UK.
in the main, the quality is pretty low compared to even a cheaper digital camera.
focus is usually set (for the camera side) so zooming in for a super close up is not an option.
handy little tool though, i just use mine as bins now. |
