Im wondering if any one can reccomend a really good allround digital camera for between 拢100-拢150?

Im looking to buy a camera for allround 'brilliantness' i know 100 pounds isnt exactly magic but ... Im going on a football/soccer tour in about a week to holland and need a camera prior to it so need a good camera with a good zoom and also good for still shots. Links to a good retailer site would give you good contention for a best answer.

canon ixus 60

its a bit over the 拢150 but worth it i feel. the results from this camera are excellent

I got an Ixus for 拢100 from Ebuyer.com - and I must say it's excellent for the money, I also bought a half gig SD card for it form the same place.

A little bit more than the 拢150 i got a fuji finepix s200pro from park cameras recommended store retail of 拢599. fantastic camera including raw imaging and excellent for tripod shots whilst really slowing the shutter speed down.

I have to make a few assumptions about your requirements. I assume you need the camera to be easy to carry around, because you'll be in crowds and you may want to keep it in your pocket when you're not using it. I also assume you want to take pictures of fast action from a distance, sometimes with less than perfect lighting, and that you want a very fast shutter response because everything is happening so fast you don't want to miss a shot while the camera is thinking about it after you press the button.

For these reasons, I would recommend a Fujifilm FinePix F30, which is currently 拢138 at Amazon.co.uk. It is easily pocketable, yet easy to handle. I recommend you go to a shop and trying holding one yourself, since everyone's hands are different sizes. It has one of the shortest shutter lag times in its class. And its unique selling point is the sensitivity of its sensor: it goes up to ISO 3200 and produces very high quality images at up to ISO 800, image quality that other cameras can only match at much lower sensitivities. What this means is that it can use fast shutter speeds to freeze the action (e.g. a footballer kicking a ball), where other cameras might produce a blur. The main disadvantage, in my opinion, is that it uses the xD Picture Card format, which is more expensive than the more popular SD format. However, you can get fairly good deals on eBay, e.g. 1GB for about 拢12 if you are a lucky bidder, and that would take you up to your 拢150 budget.

I don't own this camera myself, but I recommended it to my in-laws and they are extremely happy with it.
