Where can I buy a camera that is less than $200, 5.0 Megapixels or more, can fit in a purse, &takes good pics?

I need a digital camera soon, because I'm going to Paris on July 4th, and I can't go without one. I'm not going to settle for a disposable, because those don't take good pictures...ever (in my experience at least). Also, the camera could be a max of $250. I just want it to take good pictures.

I recommend the Sony CyberShot. It's a great digital cam with video cam capabilities. Easy to use and very small. You can find them at almost any electronics store or office supply shop.

I bought the HP r817 digital camera for $199. It's a 5.1 megapixel, has 5x optical zoom, and takes really good photos. I also bought a case and a memory card. Shipping is free if you spend $250. It's a great camera and has on-camera advice and is very easy to navigate. I love it! I bought the blue metro style case.

The camera got good reviews from different sources such as PC World and PC Magazine

The camera can take Panorama photos, you can record great video, black and white pics or color pics and several other cool things.

This looks like a nice camera. I have a Fuji Finepix that's 4.1 and am very happy with it. Since you want a 5.0 camera, you should have excellent photos for your trip to Paris. Have a great trip!

check out nikon coolpix.....i have the l4 and it is a 4.0 megapixel....the next one up is a 5.0, not sure the model number. my l4 is great, easy to use and good pics....good luck, and have a great time!!

I just got a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600 which costs UNDER $200 in fact some places as low as $150. It is 6.0 Megapixels. Small.Light.

I went to Kmart and got the Koday 5.0 pixel C530 for $140 and a $30 memory card------
It takes phenomenal Pictures- Nice, bright and colorful--
Good quality for a great price.

Check out the Canon Or Nikon Line of Digital Cameras....

But 5 megs at that price may be hard to find.......

The last time I looked 5 megs was going for around $400
but that was 6 months ago
I would not go with the Kodak Line if you are going to Travel they are not very durable and the slightest jolt can cause problems with them.....
And do not forget to get a power adapter for European outlets......

How exciting to go to Paris! And yes, for sure you need a camera to record all that you do there! I would go to Target and ask the sales person there what you can get for your budget. They will show you all that fit your needs and budget. Get the feel of the different cameras, and imagine putting them in your purse or whatever you plan on using (remembering there are pickpockets galore in tourist spots in Europe!). If you are leaving on Tuesday, you don't have time to order anything! Try Best Buy, and other electronics stores like that.
I highly recommend Sony cameras--I've had 4 of them and they are all great.
Another thing to consider is that European electricity is different than ours...you will need a voltage converter to be able to recharge your camera. You might want to bring extra batteries and also a good size memory stick so that you don't run out of room for all your photos. The stick that comes in most cameras is usually small.
And one more thing--try to understand you camera before you go, or on the plane, so that you can get the best shots possible of this trip of a lifetime! You don't want to be in front of the Eiffel Tower and find out you don't know how to get a great panoramic shot!

at best buy i got a 5. something megapixel gateway camera for 150 bucks.... it takes great pics...
