Digital camera help! [see below]?

i recently bought this digital camra and i tryed putting a 1 GB SD card into and it said card error: you need to format you memory cardbut when i tried that i still kep saying card error but when i put the same card into my old digital camera and formatted it there and them put it into my new camera it worked so basically what i want to know is if there is somthing wrong with the formatting option on my new carmera so i can return it

just go back to the shop you buy and ask them to solve the problem for you.

uhm,, i think u didn't need to ask,, coz' as long as the unit has something wrong,, or has something to be fixed.. you need to return it and get a new camera.. bring it back to them and tell them what happened.. and try the new camera first befor going home ok?

Most new cameras don't have this problem, but it is remotely possible that the card is too big for the camera. The owner's manual should say somewhere even if it's in the fine print, the maximum size memory card it can accept.

If that's not the issue then either the card or camera are faulty. Even if it works in another camera there is a small chance the card is faulty.

See if you can borrow another card to try, failing that then yes return it.

Possibly or there may be something wrong with the card. It may give you problems down the line.
