I want something between $150 to $300. Any recommendations? and what else do i need so that i can load the pics on the computer? why do you want to go to a shop ..just browse online and buy online itself ...

Tell him to recommend a good camera with a good track record and buy it. You can also see different makes/models and I am sure you will never feel disappointed. I love my Olympus Digital 7.1 Megapixel with 5x optical zoom and 2.5 LCD screen. It takes great pics and cost me around #300 with case. I am really happy with it. I bought mine from a camera store where the people that work there actually KNOW about their products and will show you how to operate them.
