Here is a link to the camera that I think I am interested in...is this a good deal for $134 plus tax??
http://www.walmart.ca/wps-portal/storelo... Kodak cameras are not that great...they are OK but I wouldn't get one again.
Sonys are good, but they have the proprietary memory cards which cost more.
I like the canons because they are tiny and also take good pictures. They also use the regular cheap memory cards (SD cards).
Dell has a SD1000 for $212 free shipping. You can probably buy a Electronics and accessories coupon off of Ebay and get a discount off that will take you into the price range. I have the SD600 and love it.
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ... It is $99 at following It looks okay from the reviews of owners. See link below. check this out:

I like the powershot series a lot. If I were you I would look for one that has image stabilization and uses an SD storage card. That's the future of digital cameras. The MP and optical zoom are fine. I find nothing wrong with recommending you the Canon PowerShot A630. 4X optical zoom, 8 megapixels, battery life above average, takes AA rechargeables, and takes excellent 8X10s when enlarged. According to Website dpreview.com Beach Camera selling it for $186- I like your Kodak selection, however, most Kodak cameras are noted for their long intervals [for image processing] between each take. And their viewing screens are not the clearest.
Should you want a lower priced mid-megapixel camera, say 5.1 which has better features, you are invited to read the following.
Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $99 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.] Samy's currently has this model in stock at their Fairfax store.
