I just got a new digital camera what size memory chip do i buy?!??!? |
I DONT WANT ONE FOR LIKE A THOUSAND PICUTRES OR FOR LIKE 50 I WANT ONE FOR 300 TO 500 PICTURES... HELP I NEED MORE THAN 6 PICS ON MY CAMERA....=) Here's a little chart to help you find the right size memory card. 1GB translates to about 300 photos. Of course it depends on the pixels on your camera too. 2GB is your best bet if your photos are all 7 mega pixels and above. depends on the mega-pixel size I would check out the different ones at the store, depends what they say ,,sometimes getting one with alot more space isn't that much money especially if its on sale,,I always need lots of space so I always go for the biggest one at the best price...go compare and pick one you think is best for your... If its more than 5MegaPixel, get a 2Gb card, or else, 1Gb is more than enough. I suggest that you get as big a memory as you can afford. Keep in mind, that you are not only dealing with quantity (number of pictures) but also the quality. The more memory you have, the more room you have for higher quality pictures. Get 256 or 512. On my 512 I get about 300 pictures with my kodak camera. 1GB or better (You can also take your memory chip out and put in the picture machine at cvs and have them printed for like 20 cents per picture and you can pick witch pictures you'd like to print. Enjoy your new camera and keep good batteries. What's your camera ? |
