Hubby bought me a cheap digital camera from ebay. It cost <.拢10 in total incl postage. Should i be grateful?

His one has colour screen viewer, zoom lens, flash and a number of other snazzy functions. Mine has none of this, just some kind of LCD screen at the back. It is really lame.

However I never asked him to buy me a camera, I mentioned that i wanted a digital camera, and he just bought it, which I guess is quite sweet. But it really is very rubbish.

Well then.. the best thing to do is speak your mind and make sure he hears ya.. keeping it from him is the worst thing you can do.. or else he won't learn and then u'll be in for it again some other time.. like maybe your engagement ring..

He probably got one just like his for his girlfriend, the one you do not know about yet. Check his receipts.

And again its the men that seem to get all of the electronics gadgets. I would be greatful to have a camera period, though I would shudder to own such a hideous creature. Take the time in the future to point on what you want exactly, maybe hint that you would like a zoom lens, or say "something just like your cool camera". Sounds like he is either being cheap or just doesnt understand what you want.

Im not exactly sure how much that is but I think you should be grateful. Maybe he bought you one that was cheap because in case you didn't like it, then it wouldn't be a lot of money gone to waste.

I don't think being "grateful" is quite necessary. You should thank him for thinking of you but let him know that you want to upgrade to a bit nicer camera. Then sell it back on eBay and get yourself what you really like!

well, yes you really should be greatful. Some men just don't get it trust me. My x once bought me a fishing pole for my birthday. (nice gift ya) But I told him I liked the one I had and I didn't want a new one.. He didn't listen lolBut yes you really should at least he tried...

Still isn't it nice of him to think of buying you something? On ebay its not always clear the quality you're getting, maybe he thought he was getting a good deal? Give him the benefit of the doubt.

But you know if it breaks 'Accidentally' maybe he'll replace it with a better one?? lol

From a manners perspective you should always be grateful and say thankyou no matter how crap the gift. (And i've had quite a few!)
Perhaps you should ask you other half why he bought this camera for you. It may even have been a joke.

Well don't doubt his sincerity just because he bought you a cheap digital camera. Look at the spirit behind it he fulfilled your wish. However, if he can afford an expensive camera but he bought a cheap one its time for a friendly fight.

First of all why would you each need a digital camera? Couldn't you just use his after all he is your husband. Next yes and no you should be grateful. Yes because he thought about you and listened when you said you wanted one. If I want something I have to write a note and put it in my husbands wallet for him to remember. And before I state the no reason ask yourself this "Did we have the extra money to spend on me a fancy digital camera?" If you did have the extra money then no you shouldn't be grateful that it was so cheap and lame because you could have done the samething for yourself had that been what you wanted. But don't fight about it because it's not worth it. Just tell him how grateful you are that he is so sweet and thoughtful. :)

Thank Hubby for the camera but you may want to ask him why did he feel this camera would be good for you. Did he think that you would not be comfortable with a camera with lots of features? Advise him that you wanted to share in his hobbies and you like him to show you how the features work on your camera as well as how the features work on his camera. Some of us males take awhile to understand (Training takes time LOL) so when you say you want something, you have to be really specific. He may have thought he was being wonderful and I sure he was not trying to hurt your feelings.
