Gonna buy my wife a new digital camera for xmas. what is a good one to get. must be at least 6 mega pix ?

Try the dsc-w series of sony with carl zeiss lens or the canon ixus lines.

Pls also note the optical zoom capabilities of the camera you are looking at to complement the usual digital zoom range.

If possible, pls also consider cameras that both have an LCD and a viewfinder.

We just got a Canon PowerShot A540. 6.1megapix. Great little camera.

i suggest the Sony Cybershot DSC-N2. i have this camera, it's pricey but <b>totally</b> worth every penny, i mean 10.1 Megapixel, a huge LCD touch screen, and the program called Pain that is on your computer is on there! It's totally worth the money.
