What's a really good digital camera, and where can i buy it?

i want to get a digital camera... know any good quality ones, how much, and where could i get it?

Thats a question thats quite difficult to answer. There are endless makes and models of good to great digital cameras available in every camera store you go to, and each and every salesman will say this brand is good or that brand is good. The only way to know which is best for you is to educate yourself a little first.

Of course some people will tell you to spend big bucks on an expensive digital SLR, but if you have no experience with an SLR let alone photography, then it would be unwise to even think about it.

I, myself am, and have been, very happy with Canon as a brand. They are the top seller of cameras around the world, so I am confident in recommending them.
Now, someone else might recommend something a lot cheaper, but I can tell you that you will not get the same optical quality (which is the most important in my opinion) or performance.
How do I know? Well I have used Canon for years and continue to be impressed by some of their products ( obviously not all of their cameras are fantastic though)
Also, on the net and in magazines, there are endless professional reviews and reviews from people that actually use the cameras...and from all those reviews its easy to have a clear understanding of what is reasonable, what is good or ok and what is outstanding, and I can tell you that Canon trumps the list (for outstanding) more times than not.
Look at a camera with maybe 6MP as a minimum and 3X, 4X, or 6X optical zoom or more.

the really good digital cameta is if it meet your reauires, and you can buy it at many electronics shops.
