Thats not how you buy a digital camera. You have to buy based on price, features and your use. For example I want a camera I can take in my pocket, that takes video with sound. I have a Nikon D70. That is to big and hard to used for novice people. Look at sites do model compares and go to a store if you can to hold them. Sometimes the store is the best way to find all the weird things about each model. Then look at what others think. Remember one person might love the camera but others might hate the one you love.

The higher the megs the better also depending like the other post said what are you really trying to shoot and how much are you wanting to spend.My wife is waiting on hers,because she wants a digital SLR which are finally coming down in price.What this feature allows you to do is shoot in more real time,so when you push the button to take a shot there is not a delaytime and you can get the shot your really after

There is no strict definition of the ideal camera, which is why there are so many cameras out there in the market to cater to individual needs.

For those with budget constrains, they would choose a cheap disposable camera over a costly one. For those who prefer portability, they would choose a light model over better (but bulkier ones) - in fact, some would even choose mobile phones with cameras instead since they would carry their mobiles every day but who would do so with a camera? Some cameras have video capturing features and some don't.

And digital cameras are categorized by compact digital cameras and the bulkier and more sophisticated looking digital SLRs, where in the latter, you have to purchase both the camera body and the lens separately and have no video taking features, but with great power and flexibility on taking great photographs in a diverse range of settings.

And if you prefer videos over still shots, then there is the digital videocams to consider. so all in all, you may have to narrow down what you would consider to be your priorities in looking for your ideal digital camera.

Digital cameras with internet connection are hard to come by nowadays. I think Kodak has a model that does that but they are pricey (about 500 USD for a 5 megapixel model).

Nikon has a model that sends photos directly to your pc via bluetooth.

Otherwise, get a cellphone with a good camera. If you service will alow, pictures/videos taken can immediately be sent to an email id.
