My mom is going to buy me a camcorder/digital camera for christmas?

I really want this camcorder but I don't know brand to choose, there are so many choices out there. I have my eye on the DXG305vbc or Traveler 5megapixel 6 in 1 digital video camera. I guess I like the idea of a 6 in 1 video but I don't know if the Traveler brand is the best. I am really confused, help. I would really appreciate it.

i have one of my friends who owned the DXG305vbc and i came up to him and borrowed it to have myself test it (out of curiosity). it has some cool features, but to tell you the truth? IT REALLY SUCKED. not that i am trying to put you down, i just dont want you to hand over a benjamin bill for it and in about two days end up really disappointed. actually for me, i got dissapointed after 30 mins. first of all the battery is 4 AAA batteries. not good, unless you have rechargable ones. but still, those batteries are drained up so easily when taking pictures with flash. probably 5 pictures with 5 flash and its done. REDLINE! also, it doesnt have optical zoom, and that means the picture is disturbingly horrible. pictures came out yellowish under bright sunlight and black indoors. so you're stuck with using flash, and draining your battery after 5 shots. an mp3 player? nice try, but volume is too low and drains battery quickly also. about 10 songs and your out. ok so its main function is camcorder right? sure! limited by your memory card, the quality of the video is not so acceptable. take not "not acceptable". very grainy and dark. if i had the pictures and movie samples in this laptop i would send them to you but i deleted them because its just a useless waste of space in my drive. you know what you should do, convince her to buy you a $200 miniDV camcorder, which is alot floating around at this point of the year, and enjoy the highquality movies that you can make from them. stay away from those brands that offer you soo much fore things with their products for so much cheaper. its just a marketing strategy to sell it to you, but you're gonna have a hard time getting support and the quality is just awful. if you want movies, buy a real camcorder. if you want pictures, but a dedicated digital camera. canons and nikons and kodaks are all good. you might like how those two things you mention "looks" but you will regret after using it for a week . consider yourself warned.

sure no problemo. for about a 150 bucks i really suggest canon A530. its about 140 or less right now, and during the holiday season probably even lower. email me if you need more help or if you want a more specific list of suggestions. ok? Report It

go to the store and ask the sales person! they will tell u everything how would i know i live in a differnt country 2u
