What is the best digital camera to buy,and how much? |
What is the best digital camera to buy,and how much? I always buy Canon and highly recommend it for digital cameras. It is the best brand out there. It could be a bit pricey, but it lasts a long time and takes spectacular pictures. If you're looking for something around the 5 - 6 megapixel range then, I would suggest PowerShot SD700 IS. The IS stands for Image Stabilization, so if you're a bit shaky, it'll still keep your shot clear and sharp, instead of blurry. I would definitely invest in this camera, even though it's a little pricey ($400-500). However, it's very powerful, it'll last you a long time, and well-worth the money. If it's too costly for you, I would still stick with Canon, but look for a different model that suits your needs. kodak,,,for less than $100.00 I Love my camera its a Kodak Easyshare V550 cost $350 I think and its the best purchase I have ever made. Clear pictures every time even when in a moving car. If you want to you can get the printer doc to, they throw it all into a package sometimes. U hav two options, You can get a decent point & shoot for about $200-$300. Add $50 for a memory card and you're good to go. These cameras have 3 to 5 megapixels (good enough for 5x7 inch prints) and 3x optical zoom. I'd stick with Kodak or Canon. I have a Panasonic Lumix LZ-5. Fantastic pics in most conditions, including low light. 5 mega pixel, 12x optical, macro mode for extreme close ups. The camera does have image stabilization so a tripod isn't always necessary. You will need the tripod though if you plan on taking alot of distance/zoomed shots, low light, and macro mode. The tripod I have is I think...59" from Wal Mart cost was $29. The camera retails for $499.99 but I got mine on sale for $382. canons are my favorite. what are you going to use it for? Casual use or as a professional The best fixed lens (ie non digital SLR) camera that money can buy is the Sony DSC-R1, 10 megapixel camera. It will cost you roughly $800 after the $100 Sony rebate. A 2 gig Sony Memory Stick Pro for this camera will cost roughly $50, brand new, at pricegrabber.com (best prices for memory I've found). |
