My criteria are, I would like to buy used on eBay to save money. I don't want a whole lot of confusing extra features. I want the camera to NOT distort colors greatly, and I would like to take very close up pictures, and I want the pictures to be crisp. Does anyone know where I can view actual pictures taken with various cameras? Any suggestions are very appreciated. Thank you. personally, I would recommend a canon. I have used them in both photography classes and for leisure and they do quite well. YOu might be able to see some pictures taken with certain cameras on the website for the camera but I dont see that too often. Remember though....the hiher the megapixel....the better the shots are going to be...plus you can make them bigger. Also...since you want a simple type of camera...I would not recommend a digital SLR. They have many features that you would need to play around with such as shutter speed and aperture. Get a Fuji E510 or E550
I bought the E510 to take photos of small items for eBay.
It has two macro modes (one's about 18-6" and the other's about 6"-2"). Great quality w/manual controls if you want.
Spot or average meter.
E510 new is $120. I could email or post some samples. Report It
I have a Panasonic Lumix its very easy to use as in the features i am sure you can figure out how to use them your advandge they are very easy to figure out and take very good pictures or can can seel you my old still film roll camara that take good pictures too and thats your basic press button photo taken kind only about 4 years old only used 2 rolls of film in it.
give a email if you are interested check out dpreview.com for in-depth camera reviews.
I think Nikons are know for the close up photography.
Don't forget that buying a used camera doesn't always save you money. Often times the new versions of the same camera will have better features for roughly the same price or lower. Offcourse sony should be your choice. There is so many models in digital Camera. But i will suggest pls take ..............................
