The quality of glass in the lens is by far more important than the number of pixels. Oregon Scientific has often used plastic lenses which are less clear, but much cheaper to produce. If possible, look more at overall value and benefits to you rather than only price. I actually bought one of these same cameras. Very poor quaility and limited functions.
