I'm looking to buy a digital camera. What brand might you suggest?

I really want one with lots of different features.

Spend the extra money and get the Nikon D40x
read about it or take one of those free seminars. You will feel like a pro and take pics like a pro. Cannon makes a good camera as well and if you are doing lots of sports or nightlife pics then that is one to look at but please go for the 35mm. You will thank me in 20 years.

you are not the photographer on all other cameras....the manufacturor is the photographer.

Compact - Olympus or Canon.
Prosumer - Canon.
DSLR - Nikon or Canon.

Sony makes great digital cameras

I've had really good luck with Kodak's. They are easy to use and take great pictures!

Brand is the least important factor in choosing a digital camera.

The performance of digicams is determined by the size of the sensor, which determines the size of the camera and the price.

So a $400 Nikon won't be too much different from a $400 Canon.

What WILL be a factor is whether the camera is a compact or a DSLR. That's what you need to decide.
