I feel so guilty! what shall I do?

Alright so alot of teens now a days have all the technologies. I have an mp4 and a ps2 and ofcourse my own room and desk and i have my own digital camera and a laptop. I just need a cellphone but i feel guilty whenever i ask my mom to buy me a cellhpone and she doesnt seem too happy that im buying a cellphone and im 15 so shes paying for it and paying for the sim card. Do you think i should still buy the cellphone? Is it normal to feel guilty cus you keep on bribing your mom to buy you something and she doesnt seem happy with it but still agrees?

Tell your mum that a cell phone with a camera is for your protection. You need a cell phone.

You need the laptop, as for the other stuff, you should not feel guilty, it is all necessary for someone of 15. You have not asked for too much.

What a wonderful daughter you are to be so concerned and caring about your mum and her spending money on you.

Perhaps though, you are growing up and don't like to be dependent on mum for money any more.

Perhaps, it is time for an after school job?

before you ask for somthing make sure your mum can afford it as things might be tight ,or she might be skint

well that depends are just getting a cell cuz everyone else has one then yes you don't need it but yes its normal to feel guilty especially if you're bribing your mother. if you ask me mothers tend to overreact when it comes to stuff like this but talk to her and make sure if you go ahead and buy it to thank her and don't let het her down such as 200 dollars phone bill and everything will be fine.

Yeah, it's normal. I bugged my dad forever just to home school me. It costs more than I thought. So now I feel a little guilty because my dad spent all that money on me. If you have all that stuff, then I don't think you need a cellphone that badly.

She may be thinking that if she is paying for the bill that it is going to be a large bill. Depending on how responsible you are with using it. Those bill can be really high if you don't watch how you use them.It is normal to feel guilty about something that you are trying to get especially if the other person doesn't think that it is a good idea.By the sound of your question she has not held back on getting all the latest things, and if she doesn't want an added (potentially high) bill to pay then I really don't think it fair of you to keep pushing to get what you want out of her.

wow a teenager with guilt....feelings, im impressed with you already. Why dont you offer to do jobs in the house, then that will put your mum in a good mood and you will feel that you have earned your cellphone so no one loses out. Just make sure that you keep doing the odd job in the house so your not seen to do them for something in return

I think you misused the word "bribing" because it's her who is doing it, NOT YOU!

I noticed you also used the word "need" instead of "want "when you are asking for a cellphone.
If you WANT a cellphone when you don't really NEED it, then YES you have every reason to feel guilty about asking your mom to pay for it. Cellphones aren't just a one time purchase & expence you know. In order to get to use it, you need to pay, & pay, & pay for a service, and it isn't cheap.

So ask yourself just WHY do you WANT this cellphone?
Is it so you can use it to take pictures? Well you have a digital camera for that.
Is it so you can use it to listen to music? But you have an mp4 for that.
Is it so you can chat with your friends?
Well I'll bet you have a phone in your house for that, PLUS you said you have a laptop computer, so you can chat on it as well.

If after all of what I have said you still think you NEED a cellphone then maybe you can offer to sell the digital camera, laptop, & mp4 and use the proceeds from that to get your cellphone. Because Honey, no 15yo NEEDS ANY of that stuff.

What you really do need is to learn to be responsible with the love & caring you get from your mother.

no you should find a job so you can pay for the cellphone. hello you are 15 get a job and pay for it, your mom might agree because she loves you. think about getting a job.
