Need help deciding which lens to buy! I just bought a Nikon D80 body. Please help.? |
I just bought a Nikon D80 body. This is my first SLR and I have not bought any lenses yet. I was planning on buying two lenses. I was going to buy the Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens for $119.95. I am trying to decide between these two lenses: Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens for $155.70 and Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor SLR Camera Lens for $139.95. If anyone could give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Since I am new to this I don't really understand the differences between the two lenses. What is it saying when it says 55-200mm or 70-300mm? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? Thanks! That really depends on what you intend to shoot, however, I recommend the 70-300mm lens. |
